A explosão deslocou mais de 12 milhões de toneladas de terra e escureceu o céu por mais de 8 km. A onda de choque foi comparável a um terremoto de 5° na escala Richter, e 13 milhões de pessoas foram infectadas pela radiação. De 1945 a 1998 foram realizados mais de 2.000 testes nucleares na Terra. Em 1996 foi assinado um tratado para acabar com esses testes, mas recentemente a Coreia do Norte fez 3, em 2006, 2009 e 2013. Já pensaram nos efeitos que toda essa radiação ainda pode estar causando a todos nós?

A radiação pode mesmo provocar mutações genéticas, além de vários tipos de câncer.
Eu realmente não consigo saber com certeza quanto tempo vai demorar para sumir totalmente a radiação em Chernobyl. Em alguns lugares falam em 1.000 anos, outros em 300.000. Bom, não importa, seja quanto for é muito.
Aquele Césio-137, do acidente em Goiânia vai demorar cerca de 200 anos para se dissipar completamente.
